Privacy Notice

Effective 4 August 2026 · Version 1.0

Readings are calculated in your browser. Birth details are transmitted to us only if you request a reading by email and explicitly consent to their retention. Nothing on this site is advice; see the Terms of Use.

1. Contact

[Site name]

contact@yourdomain.com

All correspondence, including requests concerning your personal data, should be sent to the address above.

2. Personal data we process

CategoryCollectedLegal basis
Usage statistics Aggregate daily counts of page views and completed readings, by country and reading type. No individual records. Legitimate interest in operating and improving the service
Network identifiers Your IP address, used for abuse prevention and approximate geographic reporting. It is not retained in identifiable form. Legitimate interest in service security
Contact details Email address, where you request a reading by email. Consent
Birth details Date, time and place of birth, and the positions calculated from them, where you request a reading by email. Used to produce that reading, then erased. Performance of the service you requested
Retained birth details The same details kept after your reading has been sent. Consent

The consent box governs retention only. Leaving it unticked does not affect your reading: your details are used to produce it and then erased once it has been sent. It is presented separately from the email request and is not pre-selected.

5. Recipients and transfers

Personal data may be processed by service providers engaged to operate this site, who act on our instructions and are bound by contract. Loading this site also causes your browser to request resources from a third-party provider, which receives your IP address as a necessary part of that request. Personal data is not otherwise shared with third parties, except where required by law.

Personal data may be processed outside your country of residence. Where transfers are made from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, an approved safeguard such as Standard Contractual Clauses is relied upon.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

To erase your data, use the erasure request page or write to contact@yourdomain.com. Requests are actioned within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops further messages; erasure removes the underlying record.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may also nominate an individual to exercise these rights on your behalf. If you are dissatisfied with our handling of a request, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority, or with the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Where a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights, you and the relevant supervisory authority will be notified within the periods required by law.

8. Children

This service is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children. If you believe a child's data has been submitted, contact us and it will be erased.

9. Cookies

This service does not set cookies and does not use tracking technologies for advertising or profiling.

10. Changes

Material changes to this notice will be reflected in the version and effective date above. Where a change materially affects processing carried out on the basis of your consent, we will notify registered users before it takes effect.
